Call to Order
Lorenzo
called the meeting to order at 10:45 AM
II.
A motion was made
and seconded to accept the minutes from the April 2 , 2004 Executive Board
Meeting

Reports of Officers
President
– Lorenzo Rotoli

Vote for the International Director needed to be post marked today
(July 16, 2004)

The Met Section has confirmed the annual meeting will be from 5/2
to 5/4 at the

Newsletter

Won International Award for circulation under 250

No response on the member spotlight

Lorenzo submitted a “Help wanted” advertisement in the next
Newsletter for a local activities coordinator for the

Asked if an achievement award plaque made for and presented to Tom
Werner?

Two candidates had been identified for Section Treasurer from the
Rochester Area – Amy Dake and Andrea Koch.
Amy has accepted. Still need
to confirm from Andrea on accepting the nomination. Need to get the bios
for the newsletter (this month)

advertisement in newsletter for award nomination solicitation.

Sheila sent copy of budget update for review
·
Don will confirm whether or not the Section Dues were deposited
early in the year
·
Need to bring signature card to annual meeting so the address
change can occur earlier in the year.

Joe made a motion to approve the budget and Don seconded it.
·
Robert Miller prepared an audit for the 2003 finances.
Overall he concluded that the he was “reasonably confident that the
Section’s financial accounts (“books”) are in proper order and generally
acceptable accounting procedures are being applied”.
Don will work with Sheila to
resolve the outstanding issues identified in the audit.

active members and volunteers for the different committees.
Use the meetings/conferences to do this.

Transportation Symposium
will be November 1 and 2 at The Century House in Latham (the same location as
previous years). Session topics
include Albany Area Interstate Corridor Studies; Area Waterfronts, Quality
Communities, Future of Highway Safety Programs and Tech Valley Capital District.

Section Meeting – Will
be a joint meeting with the NYSMPO’s, 1 day, 2 concurrent sessions with
PDU’s for at least some of the sessions.
